He’s drawn back to that dynamic, he says, because every character gets a moment where they say I matter to this story.

I wish Xander had died instead of Tara. His death would have pushed Willow to the dark side, fulfilling the season six storyline. Then Nicholas Brendon could have haunted the Scoobies as The First for all season seven. THAT would have been chilling. He does evil so very well.

Mark has fallen for Willow and Tara. I know he doesn’t allow spoilers, but my heart hurts for how unprepared he will be for Season Six. I know I wouldn’t have been able to deal with Tara’s death if I hadn’t had months to prepare myself.
“But I don’t understand! I don’t understand how this all happens. How we go through this. I mean, I knew her, and then she’s, there’s just a body, and I don’t understand why she just can’t get back in it and not be dead anymore. It’s stupid. It’s mortal and stupid. And Xander’s crying and not talking, and I was having fruit punch, and I thought, well, Joyce will never have any more fruit punch ever, and she’ll never have eggs, or yawn or brush her hair, not ever, and no one will explain to me why!”

I always wished they’d had more scenes together - after Joyce died they could have helped each other SO MUCH!
